Somatic educators and healing-arts practitioners are invited to join our Teacher Training Programs. Programs are offered in a variety of formats including both live and on-line courses.
In the US, trainees typically attend three days of live training as an introduction to the theory and practice of the Sounder Sleep System. Course-completion requires six additional days of live training or the equivalent.

One convenient, economical option is our very popular, on-line Home-Study Program consisting of self-paced home-study of audio, video, and text materials plus participation in an on-line study group personally led Michael Krugman, founder of the Sounder Sleep System. Coupled with a three-day live training or equivalent study, the Home-Study meets full course-completion requirements. This mixed live/on-line course provides an excellent, in-depth learning experience.
Trainees who are unable to attend a live introductory course prior to enrollment in the Home-Study Program may do so at any time during the two years following enrollment. In exceptional circumstances, this requirement may be waived on an individual basis, and an equivalent course of study provided. This is done at Trainer's discretion, upon written request by the trainee.

In Europe, trainees attend the three-day introductory course, often taught by an Assistant Trainer, followed by a six-day course-completion program taught by Chief Trainer Michael Krugman. Courses are currently offered in Munich or Hamburg, Germany, in English with German translation, and in Zurich, Switzerland, in English only. European courses are held in October and April of each year.

Course Completion and Authorization
Trainees who have completed the Teacher Training Program and have begun their practice are eligible to become Provisional Authorized Teachers of the Sounder Sleep System, valid for one year. View application requirements in English, German, French, or Italian.
Post-Graduate Requirements
Practice and Educational Requirements
In addition to the requirements for course completion and initial authorization, graduates of the Teacher Training Program are required to complete at least 24 hours of Sounder Sleep teaching per year (total may include individual or group teaching). They must complete a minimum of three days of post-graduate training, or the on-line equivalent as offered by Trainers, within each three-year period following completion of the course. The post-graduate training requirement is waived after completion of six consecutive years of authorized practice.
Documentation and Review
During their first year of practice, Sounder Sleep graduates may be asked to submit audio or video documentation of their teaching skills, at Trainers' discretion. In this case, the recording will be reviewed by the Chief Trainer or an Assistant, and the graduate will receive a report on the findings. Teachers who demonstrate full competence, as recognized by Sounder Sleep Trainers, will receive full Authorization at this time.
Additional Requirements
Authorized Teachers and candidates must maintain membership in good standing in this web site, and display up-to-date personal data and class schedules, if appropriate, on their Personal Web Page. Ethical conduct, professional demeanor, and accurate employment of Sounder Sleep trademarks are expected of all authorized teachers.
